Been coming here regularly for more than 40 years -- since my grandparents introduced me to it. I make it a point to come whenever I'm in town. Patti, the owner, greets you at the door and is always sweet and treats the customers well. She always remembers me. I guess my annual visits make me a regular. One of my favorite spots. Don't ever remember having a meal here I didn't enjoy. The seafood dishes are great and I'd recommend the chicken curry too. The staff makes you feel right at home.

Probably one of the most demoralizing things one can experience is a bad restaurant experience. Unfortunately, 264 The Grill was ours. We were in a hurry; had to get to a performance. It took the bartendress several minutes to decide she needed to take our order. She was terribly busy tallying checks from other nights and doing accounting behind the bar. Should a bartender be doing this or serving food and drink? I ordered the Meditteranean salad, a version of which I've had many other places. This one was dull and flavorless, with nothing new or interesting added. My husband ordered the Stone Crabs, which he said were unmemorable. Sorry, Matthew! We had a Groupon, which did not indicate in the fine print that stone crabs were not eligible for discount, and also did not indicate that holidays were not eligible for discounts (we were there on New Year's night, Jan. 1). Our server scolded us for not telling her about the Groupon at the beginning of the meal, and refused to check with a manager, discount even part of our meal that was not Stone Crabs (which are about $30 btw), or in any way honor the fact that we were from out of town and could not return by the expiration date on the Groupon. It is evident to us that 264 The Grill cares about its West Palm Beach regulars, and couldn't give a rip about anyone else. We've eaten at many, many restaurants, and have never been treated with this kind of "devil may care" attitude. We will not return to 264. There are many other fine restaurants in West Palm Beach that DO want our business, and who think that keeping every customer happy is important.

The food was ok, nothing special. The service was good, but I would not go back.

We initially found this restaurant thru Restaurants.com and bought several certificates to go. The food was good, the drinks were good, the dessert (bread pudding) was excellent. The server (Sonia) was great! When I called to make the reservation the lady on the phone was not very nice and she actually hung up on me so I called back and asked why she had done that. I almost didn't go but other than her the experience was good and my husband and I plan to return to continue using our certificates. Prices are a bit high, check with food, drinks and dessert with the $25 off certificate was still around $150.

We made our first visit tonight using a Groupon. No special menu for Groupon use. We had Osso Bucco Lamb Shank w/ Twice Backed Potato and a Chicken Curry dish. Both were plentiful and delicious. The Lamb was fall off the bone tender with a very flavorful sauce. The Chicken Curry was equally as good with very tender moist chicken having a sweet Curry gravy adding the small sides of raisins, coconut and a mango chutney. Delicious. We ordered a Caesar Salad. Nothing special for $10. Service was great. A solid 4 Star!

I have been to 264 the grill two times and cant wait to go again. This is a very classy yet informal restaurant even though it is located in a very high class area you can go informal and just be yourself. The food is top quality the help is very friendly and they give you a lot of attention. the first time i was there i had the chopped steak which was excellent the second time i had the liver which was the best i have ever eaten and im a liver fan. i have sent some friends there and they loved it. If you are in the palm beach area this is one restaurant that is worth trying.

The food is excellent throughout, from appetizer to dessert, all of our courses great. French onion soup was superb, and the main courses flawless. Lemon cake was the best dessert. Ok, so the atmosphere is a bit stuffy and "dated", as are many of he customers and staff, although friendly. Not really the place for younger people. If you're in a rush, not the place to go, meal was slowly unfolded, which worked well for us. If you happen to be there early, we arrived at 5pm, special early bird prices about half cost for many great dishes, $19 for 3 course meals! Superb deal! Overall, goes on our list of places to return.

Great spot for jazz on Sundays but the food and service were just not good tonight. Waited 30 minutes for water. Waited for bread that NEVER arrived. Pre-cooked turkey, salty, salty gravy, undercooked beef. Could they get SOMETHING right?

This restaurant had the best and the worst. The entertainment on sat.nite was fabulous. Decor was nice, elegant and conservative. However, that is as far as it goes. We had the worst server. She was condescending and curt, like she didnt have time to really wait on us. In fact, she was working BOTH sides of the big room..a BAD decision on management to give us this server. Great French Onion soup with gruyere cheese...and then it all went downhill. Originally ordered a NY Strip steak..server told us it was 1 inch thick..it looked more like a minute steak after it was cooked. It was full of grissel and NOT even cooked pittsburgh rare like ordered. Asked for steak sauce and had to ask 2 servers to get it for us...Finally could not even CUT the steak so sent it back and got the filet. FIlet was good but again, this was a much thicker steak and it still was not cooked correctly. How can a GRILL screw up a simple steak..they did !! It was served medium rare when PITTSBURGH rare was ordered. It was served with COLD Bernaise sauce. Of course, by the time the server came back to ask how things were THIS time, we had just about enough of this meal. We asked another server what was good for dessert as she was nice enough to ask us IF we wanted to order dessert. She recommended the bread pudding with whiskey sauce. Bread pudding came out with a nice portion but it has a SPARSE helping of the sauce ( which was caramel and not whiskey). We asked for more sauce. At this point , our original server came back and said there is not extra sauce as they cook the pudding and the sauce is cooked INTO the pudding..mmmmm new way to make bread pudding??? If so, how were they able to get a meager serving of caramel sauce. She had a major attitude and said " well, if u ordered from me, I could have told u tha the sauce was cooked into it!"...I sat there appalled and just wanted to get out of there before I REALLY got pissed off. IF the server WAS at our table originally to TAKE the order, we would have known how crummy and meager the sauce was on the bread pudding..THEN we had to wait 15 min for our check and all we wanted was to get OUT of there.. Will we be back? Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo not even if the dinner was free. BUT on a good note, the entertainment was fabulous..

I ate at this place last time I was in Palm Beach in November. I had such a good experience with the food and service I have decided to take it into my own hands and make sure this place gets recognized on Yelp. Make sure to order the stone crab appetizer, It was a huge factor in why i'm writing this review.

I had a great meal last night at 264. This is a perfect restaurant for all ages and for people who want variety of food choices. The food is consistent in quality so whether you want fresh fish, a burger or steak, pasta or chicken everyone is happy. The atmosphere is friendly as there are a group of regular customers who frequent the restaurant. But, introduce yourself to Patty, one of owners. I have been eating here for many, many years and always get a good meal at a great price. 264 The Grill really delivers value. I previously reviewed 264 The Grill on another site. I rated the restaurant with 4 1/2 stars, deducting the half star for less than attentive service. We went back tonight, and I showed a copy of my review. The manager Patty, and our waitress Jane went out of their way to ensure we had a 5 star experience. We did! Food and service were excellent and flawless.

Jane was our waitress here and she was spectacular. An absolute breath of fresh air. Full of compliments and A+ service. We sat outside, surrounded with twinkle lights and bougainvilleas. Just perfect. My dad's N.Y sirloin was cooked med rare to perfection. Mom's wild salmon sealed the deal. Outstanding. We'll definitely be back.

Wow... All I can say. Jane was one of the best servers I have had in a very long time. She was very attentive. My glass was hardly ever half empty. The Louis the 13th is always to die for. Definitely a good sipping drink while eating dinner. I got the filet with the crab cake and that was delicious. Jane is definitely someone I will be coming back to see.

Not good. Rude employees think they are better than the customers. Bread was stale. No hot water in the bathroom sink, which means the employees are not even sanitizing their hands. This place has really gone down hill. For an old Palm Beach establishment, it is a shame to see it decline so much.

Who said this restaurant was family friendly? This is a pretentious adult restaurant in West Palm Beach. I arrived in casual clothes, which for me meant a shirt and nice shorts. The waiter immediately assumed that I couldn't afford the restaurant. Then I ordered the Maine lobster. It was overcooked with soft vegetables on the side. Yuck! I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

We came here with 2 other couples for the flavor of Palm beach. One person had to send the steak back 2 times as it was cooked wrong second time very fatty. My wife and I ordered the lobster out of the shell, was to be a 1 1/4 lobster, no way we both sent back and got the lobster tail very disappointing. Live music and dancing. Waitress was very accommodating. would not go back

Food was good but they charged me $6 for a cup of milk for my 3 year old; which is absurd and unexpected given the pricing of the rest of the menu.

Food was very good. The service was impeccable but it took time before it started. Liked the ambiance which was cozy and softly lit. The only complaint was Patty the hostess/owner. She needs an attitude adjustment. She is rude, curt and uncaring to her customers. The m Meals are priced slightly above average.

Solid 3.5 star establishment. I was concerned with comments by other yelpers on the poor service. While the staff weren't enthusiastic (no one ever smiled throughout the evening!), they weren't rude. Ambience is quite dated, but has some charm. The food was solid, high quality, and well-prepared comfort food. We had the pork schnitzel and lamb shank... both were surprisingly well-seasoned and very tasty overall. The lamb shank was especially tender. Both of these large platters were served with sizable helpings of root vegetables and a twice-baked potato. For comfort food, I'd prefer to pay a little less, especially since there isn't anything really unique. Still, you're on the island...

Food's more Italian inspired than American. Totally delish!

The entrees here (filet and ribs) were delicious. The appetizers were good but overpriced. What was frustrating was the service was not good at all. We asked the waitress how big the filet was and was told it was 4 oz, so a couple of us did not order it due to the size of it. After we placed the order the waitress came back and told us it was 8 oz (which it was). She also did not know what beers they served, and the drinks were over priced.

I booked a table for 2 for my wife and I on Valentines day, we had both heard good things about the food and service. We eat out probably far too often so we both know what to expect from a restaurant charging $100 per person. When the waitress brought the entrees, we both ordered the fillet "rare". My wife has a traditional fillet cut mine was not. Mine arrived the best part of well done hers was well done almost burnt on one side and medium for the rest. we waited 20 minutes for the waitress to come back so we could say something, I couldn't wait and ate most of my steak, my wife was not happy and all she wanted was to have hers remade. I had to get up and walk to find the manager who said she'd meet me back at our table to fix the problem. She never showed up! She sent the waitress over to offer us coffee "on the house" right so one coffee after spending $200 on a dinner for 2 that was absolutely terrible and on valentines day was supposed to fix the problem?? Finally after all this I ask the waitress to go get the manager for a second time. Does she come to the table? No, she sends the waitress back with an other message saying they would comp the 2 drinks we had ($18) so I agreed because at this point we just wanted to get out of there, we wait almost an other 15min for an updated check, it never came....so we left a $20 for the waitress and left. I was never going to leave bad feedback, but she just called me at 1:00am to tell me I forgot to pay, but the truth in the matter is she "forgot" to do her job and take care of her customers, she didn't offer to remake the food, comp the food or do the right thing at all. She should pay us for making our valentines days end in a disgusting way.
